Where did the summer go?

I can't believe it is the end of September, but that is only half the story. Since my last HOOTS post, we have had THREE great rides! Thanks to Don and Chris Kirk, who hosted the ride and barbecue August 2nd, Pat and Margaret Donnelly for the now famous Tour De DQ(^3) August 23rd, and Ian Seecof and Cheryl Sunman another edition of the Farm Fest ride on September 13. These were all great rides with a mix of new and old faces, and thanks to all the 2009 HOOTS leaders for their efforts.

Hoots July 3 Ride, HOOTS Jersey's are In

A big thanks to John Calhoun and Madelyn Zalon for hosting one of our largest attended rides, with over 20 teams and numerous singles (since we were the only CIBA rides on the Friday holiday). Saw the jersey proposed for the MTR 2010 in Shipshewana. Have not seen TWO horses pulling an Amish buggy, even the larger ones, during our two rides up there at Amishland And Lakes! Not in any photos or on the Pumpkin Vine ride photos from June in that area either.

We live in Howe, which is about 12 miles from Shipshewana. If we can help in planning routes or whatever, let us know. We have done only one HOOTS ride in the past because so many events are in central or southern Indiana, but we do ride with Michigan's MUTS and helped with MTR when it was in Grand Rapids. Hope to hear from you!
